PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yard loading method of a raw material capable of enhancing the utilization efficiency of a yard by suppressing generation of any dead space. SOLUTION: In a method for loading a raw material on a rectangular yard 10 with its longer sides being parallel to a rail 21 by using a stacker 20 in which a boom 23 capable of adjusting the angle of elevation is turnably placed on a traveling unit 22 capable of traveling on the rail 21, piles obtained by loading the raw material while moving a raw material discharging unit 24 at a fore end of the boom 23 in the direction of shorter sides of the yard 10 are formed from one end side to the other end side of the shorter side direction of the yard 10.
