#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves controlling and cooling components of a cryogenic gas decomposition device using a cooling circuit, in which a circulation medium is provided independent of synthesis gas (201). A carbon monoxide compressor (C'') for compression of components of the decomposition device, which serves for cold-supply decompression of material flow in the normal operation of the decomposition device is used for cold-supply decompression of the circulation medium i.e. nitrogen. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for cooling a cryogenic gas decomposition device. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The method permits to cool the gas compressor for separation of synthesis gas without the use of synthesis gas up to a temperature close to its operating temperature.
