A safety system for a breathing apparatus for delivery of an anesthetic agen having an anesthetic agent vaporizer comprising a reservoir (107) for containing a liquid medical agent (106), a port (18) for filling said reservoir with said liquid anesthetic agent, and a sensor device (74) for sensing a filling action of said port (18). In embodiments a change of position of a lid (90) covering said port is detected, or insertion of a fil vessel into said port is detected. Thus safety of said equipment is improved by being able to depressurize the reservoir before opening a filling valve (101) for communication of said port (18) with the inner of said reservoir. |
