PRINTING CONTROL

Various methods and apparatus relating to the control of printing by a print head (30) based upon a captured image of an array of marks (202) are disclosed. The method comprises moving a substrate (58) in a direction perpendicular to and towards the print head to a first position opposite the print head (30); printing with the print head a first array of marks on the substrate while the substrate (58) is at the first position; capturing a first image of the first array of marks (202); and controlling subsequent printing using the print head based upon the captured image.
