<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a fixing device having two or more heaters and reducing its power consumption by suppressing the degradation in its temperature following capability; an image forming device; a temperature control method; programs; and recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device 10 is mounted in a device 100 to be mounted and heats and fixes the unfixed images on a recording material 9 by using two or more heaters 11, 12. The fixing device 10 includes: an arithmetic section 23 for independently calculating the working amounts of the heaters 11, 12 for every control period; a controller 22 for independently controlling the currents to the heaters for the energization period matching the working amounts from the beginning of the control period; and a marginal power detector 24 for detecting the marginal power the fixing unit 10 can use in the power the device 100 can supply. The controller 22 controls the current to the low priority heaters when the marginal power is less than predetermined value, so that the time to end the power supply to the predetermined low priority heaters becomes almost equal to the end of the control period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
