<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel supporting device for a vehicle for which appropriate support control is set according to detection results of respective detection means, the device supporting the travel using a radar and image recognition as an obstacle detection means, as well as, a means for detecting inattentiveness of a driver. <P>SOLUTION: The result of the obstacle detection by the radar (millimeter wave) is collated with the result of the obstacle detection by the image recognition means, setting a branch into a case in which both are used for detection or a case in which either is used for detection. By factoring in determination about the inattentive driving more than that to branch, and a starting condition for the running support control is changed according to the branch result, and thus the support control is executed according to the driver's attention. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
