<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which excels in color reproducibility, has offset resistance in a fixing device and does not fade even if simultaneously exposed to light and water. <P>SOLUTION: The toner for image formation contains a colorant having as a principal component a monoazo pigment represented by structural formula (A) and having contents of trace components: (1) benzanilide; ≤100 ppm, (2) β-naphthol derivatives; 2.0-4.0%, (3) naphthoic acid derivatives; ≤50 ppm, (4) sodium (Na); ≤1,000 μg/g, and (5) chlorine (Cl); ≤1,000 μg/g, based on mass of the monoazo pigment, and a polyester resin and a release agent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
