<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter anchoring system by which an adaptor can engage with a retainer only by pressing the adaptor into the retainer without using care to the arrangement or application method of the adaptor retainer. <P>SOLUTION: The anchoring system is provided to be used together with a catheter 14 including an adaptor 22 having at least one recess. The anchoring system includes a retainer 20 to receive the adaptor. The retainer has channel through which the retainer extends around a longitudinal axis. The channel is configured to receive at least part of the adaptor in a snap-fit manner. At least one projection of the retainer extends through the channel substantially in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The projection has a dimension substantially equal to longitudinal length of the recess of the adaptor. By the cooperation between the projection of the retainer and the recess of the adaptor, the adaptor is anchored in the longitudinal direction relative to the retainer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
