PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance setting performance of a panel while improving the contrast by reducing or preventing effects of diffuse reflection, mainly, due to phosphors. SOLUTION: A PDP 10 is provided with: a first substrate structure (a rear-face part) 201 having a display electrode (31, 32) pair; a second substrate structure (a front-face part) 202 having each address electrode 33 and a display face; partition walls 23; and each phosphor layer 24 between the partition walls 23. The width (d2) of the address electrode 33 is set to the same width as the width (d1) of the bottom-face part 24-1 of each phosphor 24 between the partition walls 23 or larger than that, thereby almost suppressing diffuse reflection at the bottom-face part 24-1 of each phosphor 24.
