PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic seal and an electronic seal system, for reading the position of a seal placed on a paper sheet, and electronically reproducing an imprint. SOLUTION: There is provided an electronic seal 130 placed on the paper sheet 101 printed with a pattern. The electronic seal 130 has an imprint position reading part 135 reading the position of the imprint 122 imprinted by the electronic seal 130 based on the pattern. The electronic seal 130 has a storage part 132 storing imprint master data 160 of the electronic seal 130. The electronic seal 130 has an imprint data generation part 139 generating imprint data of the electronic seal from the imprint master data 160 stored in the storage part 132 and the imprint position read by the imprint position reading part 135.
