PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attachment and detachment mechanism for a vehicle seat, in which hooks can be locked to strikers by recognizing one lateral position when installing a seat, in such a way that it will not move forward/rearward or left/right once it is locked. SOLUTION: The attachment and detachment mechanism is for attaching/detaching the seat to/from the floor of a car body. A pair of hooks are provided at either of a forward and a rearward position of the seat, having opening parts directed forward. At the other of the forward and the rearward position, a pair of vertical pins are provided. The pair of hooks are locked to a pair of strikers raised from the floor.
