PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body structure capable of transmitting a force at a collision to a side body structure member and securing an occupant space at a driver's seat. SOLUTION: This vehicle body structure is constituted of a chassis frame, a spring holding member, a truss-shaped side body skeleton member fixed to the rear surface of a second pillar, driver's seat side reinforcing member having predetermined rigidity at the driver's seat side, and a lateral connecting member fixed to the outer end of the spring holding member, and having its upper part connected to the side body skeleton member, its front end fixed to be connected to the driver's seat reinforcing member and its rear end fixed to a second slant reinforcing member. By this arrangement, a pressing force applied from the front part is transmitted to the side body skeleton member and an occupant space at a collision can be secured. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
