PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste straw-treating structure capable of inhibiting locking failure, by performing a simple adaptation on a structure for locking a shredding device as an opened up attitude. SOLUTION: This waste straw-treating structure is provided, by constituting the shredding device for shredding the threshed stalk culms as capable of switching a working attitude for receiving the waste straw and the opening up posture of leaving from a threshing device; a locking mechanism R1 for maintaining the device as the opened up posture by installing an engaging lever 17; an engaging recessed part 15a and a short spring 18 for energizing the engaging lever 17, in an engaging direction with the engaging recessed part 15a; and the engaging lever 17 and engaging recessed part 15a, as jointly approaching the switching action of the shredding device 9 to the opened up attitude so as to engage the engaging lever 17 with the recessed part to be engaged 15a.
