PROCESSOR OPERATION CHECK SYSTEM AND OPERATION CHECK CIRCUIT

A processor operation check system includes a processor (1) and an operation check circuit (2) which checks operation of the processor (1). When a program which is being executed changes from a predefined state to another state, the processor (1) outputs a state switching signal (32) indicating the state change to the operation check circuit (2) and outputs a state signal (33) indicating the current state to the operation check circuit (2). The operation check circuit (2) includes: a state register (22) which stores a state of the processor (1); a combination logic circuit (21) which calculates a new state of the processor (1) according tothe stored state of the processor (1) and the state switching signal (32); and a comparison circuit which compares the calculated new state of the processor (1) to the state of the processor (1) which has been inputted as the state signal (33) and checks the operation of the processor (1).
