A function control system of a portable terminal is provided to allow the user to control the function of the portable terminal with motion easily and to listen to the music stored in the portable terminal through a speaker using a general cable. A function control system of a portable terminal(100) comprises a pair of speakers(210,220) outputting sound, a control device(300) which includes a touch unit consisting of a plurality of touch sensors and is connected to the speakers through an acoustic signal line and to the touch sensors through a sensing signal line, and a connector(400) which is positioned between the portable terminal and the control device so that the control device controls the portable terminal and the portable terminal transmits the sound signal to the control device. The control device selects the specific function of the portable terminal according to the order the user touches the touch sensors and controls the portable terminal through the connector.
