PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for producing metal oxide powder with nanosize, enabling mass production at a low-cost, and to provide metal oxide powder obtained by the production method.

SOLUTION: The method for producing metal oxide particulate includes: a stage where a metal oxide precursor solution is atomized; and a stage where the atomized metal oxide precursor solution is brought into contact with a pulse combustion gas and simultaneously in a high temperature atmosphere.
