摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the controller of a power transmission device of a vehicle for preventing the high revolution of rotary elements in a power transmission device for a vehicle in shift transition due to the large fluctuation of torque generated from an internal combustion engine in the controller of a power transmission device of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: When engine torque T<SB>E</SB>generated from an engine 8 connected to a transmission mechanism 10 is large, a down shift is performed by lower acceleration opening than when the engine torque is small, and torque generated form the engine 8 is shifted at a small shift point. That is, the torque is shifted at a shift point at which the increase of the torque is suppressed under the consideration of the engine torque T<SB>E</SB>generated from the engine 8 so that it is possible to prevent the high rotation of the rotating elements of the transmission mechanism 10 in down shift transition.
