PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store an article in an appropriate position. SOLUTION: The article storage system has a storage section storing a plurality of articles in partitioned positions one by one and a conveying section conveying the articles thereinside, conveys the article transferred to the inside from a delivery port arranged in an outer wall and delivering the article to and from a user by the conveying section and stores in a predetermined position in the storage section, and conveys the article stored in the predetermined position in the storage section to the delivery port by the conveying section. Order for respective positions in the storage section is maintained, order of the article is determined, and the article is stored in the predetermined position based on the order of the article determined and the order for the respective positions maintained.
