PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary fluid machine and a seal device therefor capable of stabilizing behavior of a rotary shaft thereof. SOLUTION: This seal device is provided with a casing 2 rotatably storing the rotary shaft 3 therein, a plurality of guide parts 31 extending along at least one of a radial direction and an axial direction with respect to the rotary shaft 3 and arranged in a circumference direction of the rotary shaft 3 side by side, a partition part 32 partitioning spaces between the plurality of guide parts 31 and an external space, a first seal part 33 which is an annular projection, forms a first gap 35 with the rotary shaft 3 or the partition part 32, and blocks flow of fluid passing through the external space, and a second seal part 34 which is an annular projection, forms a second gap 36 with the rotary shaft 3 or the casing 2, and blocks flow of fluid passing through the space of the plurality of guide parts 31 and flow of fluid passing through the first seal part 33.
