SOLUTION: The traveling control system for an electric automobile includes a motor for driving driving wheels, a PDU, a rotation frequency sensor for detecting the rotation frequency of the motor, a grip rotation frequency calculating section 52 for calculating the present grip rotation frequency of the motor based on the stored rotation frequency before a prescribed time by storing the rotation frequency of the motor before the prescribed time, counting the rotation frequency of the motor as the grip rotation frequency when the driving wheels perform grip travelling for the prescribed time, a motor power limit value calculating section 53 for deciding a motor limiting torque value based on the smaller rotation frequency by comparing the present rotation frequency detected by a rotation frequency sensor with the present grip rotation frequency calculated by the grip rotation frequency calculating section 52, a converter section, and a drive torque deciding section 56 for deciding the drive torque value of the motor based on a limit torque value.
