PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head actuator assembly and a disk device with which manufacturing efficiency can be improved, a disk device and the manufacturing method of the head actuator assembly. SOLUTION: The head actuator assembly is provided with a carriage 14 and a substrate unit connected to the carriage. The carriage has a bearing part 24, a plurality of arms, suspensions, heads 33 mounted on extended ends of respective suspensions, and relays FPC electrically connected to the heads. The substrate unit has a base part and a main FPC 42 extended from the base part, the main FPC has a connection end part 42a attached to the carriage and connected to the connection part of the relay FPC and a return part 42d returned toward the base part from the connection end part. A holding member 80 is attached to the carriage. The holding member has a supporting part 82 attached to the carriage and an engaging part 84 extended from the supporting part, engaged with the return part of the main FPC, and held in a return state.
