PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine capable of detecting the intentional rotation of a rotary reel after the stop of rotation of the rotary reel, and a control method for the same. SOLUTION: In the slot machine, symbols to be displayed in the intermediate stage of a display window are repeatedly detected after all the rotary reels are stopped, and whether the symbols displayed in the display window are changed or not after all the rotary reels are stopped is determined based on the result of detection.
