<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of maintaining print quality, while improving productivity of printing. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming device carries out two operations of a fixing apparatus end part temperature drop waiting operation, wherein printing operation is not resumed until a measurement temperature of a predetermined part is lowered to a fixed level after printing is suspended for preventing overheating of a fixing apparatus end part, when the measurement temperature reflecting a temperature of the fixing apparatus end part reaches a first threshold temperature; and an image quality adjusting operation, carried out after printing, is temporarily suspended according to occurrence of a starting factor of the image quality adjusting operation. The image forming device is provided with an operation timing control means performing control so that the image quality adjusting operation is carried out, during the fixing apparatus end part temperature drop waiting operation, on the condition that both the fixing apparatus end part temperature drop waiting operation and the image quality adjusting operation are not disturbed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
