<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a string beam roof which can reduce the number of structural members while securing the rigidity. <P>SOLUTION: The string beam roof 10 comprises a plurality of string beams 11 arranged at predetermined intervals, and a honeycomb panel 50 fitted onto the plurality of the string beams 11 as a roof material, in which at least a honeycomb core 51 is formed of aluminum or an aluminum alloy. By using the honeycomb panel 50 which is highly rigid as a roof finishing material, the honeycomb panel 50 as the finishing material serves as the structural members. Consequently, a need for the structural members like a buckling stopper of a girder, a roof brace, or a beam which has been conventionally provided to secure the rigidity of the roof can be eliminated.
