PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inter-node data transfer control device for efficiently configuring a partial distributed shared memory of a local memory.

SOLUTION: In the inter-node data transfer control device which is provided in a node connected to a communication network and uses the distributed shared memory to control data transfer to/from other processes, the size of a local memory area assigned to a node address is made variable, and an area having a size suitable for the size of an available local memory is assigned as the distributed shared memory.
