PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker which can prevent an unnecessary operation and can comprehend visually a ground fault current occurring at present by operating with the ground current flowing in the ground due to insulation failure of an AC current path and equipment etc. as a reference, even if the leakage current component is increased out of the leakage current flowing in the AC current path and equipment, and even after the operation, can recognize the leaking state in the current path immediately before operation, and which can prevent exactly an electric shock accident and a leakage fire accompanying the insulation failure of the AC current path and the equipment etc. SOLUTION: The circuit breaker includes a display means to display the size of ground fault current detected by a ground fault current detection means and a tripping means which, when the ground fault current of a prescribed size is detected, acts on a contact switching mechanism of the circuit breaker by receiving an operation signal from the ground fault current detection means, and opens a contact by the ground fault current.
