PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain high-resolution/high-definition image quality and good cleaning property, to ensure endurance stability in a high-temperature and high-humidity environment, and to prevent the generation of streaks due to stopping. SOLUTION: A magnetic toner is provided which is used in an image forming method including a cleaning step of removing magnetic toner on an electrostatic latent image bearing member with a cleaning blade, wherein the cleaning blade has an impact resilience of 5-25% and a dynamic friction coefficient of a surface of the electrostatic latent image bearing member to the cleaning blade is 0.1-1.0. The magnetic toner has magnetic toner particles containing a binder resin and a magnetic material and satisfies the expressions (a): 0.2≤T(5)/T(15)≤1.0 and (b) T(15)≤3.5, wherein T(5) and T(15) represent uniaxial collapse stresses of the magnetic toner at maximum consolidation stresses of 5 kPa and 15 kPa, respectively.
