PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control device capable of more surely reducing ND shock. SOLUTION: This engine control device for a vehicle including a transmission having output rotation of an engine input through a torque converter and outputting input engine rotation to drive wheel after changing speed, and a clutch engaging according to a select operation from a non-drive range to a drive range, is provided with a ND select detection means (step S12) detecting the select operation from the non-drive range to the drive range, and an engine rotation speed correction means (step S16) increasing and correcting engine rotation speed when the select operation from the non drive-range to the drive range is detected.
