PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the sealing of a gap between a bottom plate of a coping block and a sheet pile wall even if laterally arranged projections and recesses on the front surface of the sheet pile are large in deviation and in unevenness, etc., and to prevent the downward leakage of concrete charged into a gap between the coping block and the sheet pile wall. SOLUTION: The coping block formed of a front plate 23 and a bottom plate 24 protruding rearward from the front plate has a packing 27 fixed to the rear surface of the bottom plate 24, and support pieces 31 mounted to the bottom plate which protrude rearward from the bottom plate to be arranged below the packing, whereby the support pieces are movable along the packing. Then the block is fitted on the sheet pile 1 wall, towed toward the sheet pile wall, and a packing rear surface and support piece rear surfaces abut on the sheet pile wall, to thereby compress the packing. Further the support pieces are moved with respect to the coping block, thus making the packing seal the gap between the bottom plate and the sheet pile wall, and the support pieces located below the packing. Thereafter, the concrete 39 is charged in the gap defined by the front plate, the bottom plate, the packing, and the sheet pile wall, and the packing to which the concrete is mounted is supported by the support pieces.
