Dryer section

The dryer section (14) has a transfer section (20) with a rotating transfer unit (40) that is formed by a cylinder and roller and a transfer suction roller (42) that is clasped by a dryer fabric (24) of a dryer group (22). A fiber web (46) e.g. paper web, is conveyed to the rotating transfer unit together with a sieve-like dryer band (44) of an impingement drying section (16). The dryer band is led away from the fiber web and rotating transfer unit before the discharge of the fiber web. The fiber web is transferred from the rotating transfer unit to the suction roller in a free movement.
