A constructional element, which may be a batten <B>12</B>, is adapted compressively to contact multifoil insulation <B>13</B> which has a thermal resistivity which is reduced on compression. The batten has a thermal resistivity that compensates for the compressive reduction in resistivity of the multifoil insulation. The constructional element may comprise a batten comprising a rigid foam such as rigid polyurethane foam. The constructional element may be reinforced with plywood. |
