A manufacturing method of a heteropolyacid typed catalyst is provided to have a high conversion ratio of methacrolein and a high selectivity of the methacrylic acid and not to need a preparation plastic step. A manufacturing method of a heteropolyacid typed catalyst comprises steps of: manufacturing slurry by adding and agitating: an ammonium salt; one or more selected from a group consisting of precursors of Bi, As, Zr, Ge, Tl, Si, B, Te, Sb and Ta; one or more selected from a group consisting of precursors of Ti, W, Fe, Cu, Zn, Cr, Co, Ni, Mn, Ga, Ce and La; and one or more selected from a group consisting of precursors of K, Rb, Na, Cs, Mg and Ba in a keggin typed heteropoly acid aqueous solution having a protic acid form; and manufacturing catalyst by drying, molding and plasticizing the manufactured slurry.
