A method for determining motion vector at B(Bi-predictive) picture is provided to improve the B picture coding efficiency by increasing the probability that a direct mode is selected to a predictive mode of macro block. A method for determining motion vector leads motion vectors of bi-predictive image block. A second motion vector of the image block in the same sited about the bi-predictive image block is selected as a motion vector for inducing the motion vectors of the bi-predictive image block. The image blocks in the same site has at least more than one motion vector. |
