<p>The electrolytic cell, consisting of anode, cathode and diaphragm may precede the main aerobic tank or be enclosed within ir or may use the wall of the tank as cathode, the remainder being an assembly mounted on the air distribution pipes and incorporating the ultrasonic source. This is esp. a Galton pipe and when not included within the electrode assembly is esp. mounted in the air feed pipes at the base of the tank.
