1-phenyl-2-amino-3-cyclohexane-1-carboyxlic acid derivs. - used as analgesics. Novel title cpds. of formula: (where R1 = lower alkyl, R2 = H, lower alkyl, benzyl or R1 and R2 together with the N atom form a 5 or 6 membered heterocyclic opt. contng. a further O or NH gp. (opt. alkyl substrd), R3 = H, lower alkyl, R4 = lower alkoxy, R5 = H, lower alkoxy or R4 and R5 together = methylenedioxy) and their acid addition salts are prepared by reaction of an alkyl -2-(substd phenyl)-acrylate with a 1-amino-buta-1,3-diene. The cpds. where R2 = H can be obtained by hydrolyenolysis of the cpds. where R2 = benzyl. The cis and trans isomers may be separated by fractional crystallisation of their salts. |
