1399896 Laminated belting PNEUMATIQUES CAOUTCHOUC MFR ET PLASTIQUES KLEBER-COLOMBES 16 June 1972 [17 June 1971] 28447/72 Heading B5N A conveyer belt has a core comprising two woven layers separated by a layer of rubber containing a non-woven material, i.e. one or more layers or sheets of natural, synthetic or artificial fibres cohered together. The woven layers may have a polyester warp and a polyamide weft. The non-woven material may comprise one or more layers of, e.g., polyamide, polyester, polypropylene, polyvinyl alcohol or rayon and its cohesion may be improved by frapping and/or treating with a bonding agent (which may increase the adhesion of the fibres to rubber). The belt is made by coating each face of the woven layers with rubber by calendering and impregnating the non-woven material by calendering, assembling the belt with outer cover layers, and vulcanizing under pressure.
