<p>Colour former leucauramine type salts of formula where R1-8 are hydrocarbyl except R2R4R6R8 may not be H, or R may form a ring with the N atom; pref. are (m)ethyl; ABA'B' are opt. substd. 1,4-arylene, Q is -O- or -NR- and Q' is -NR'- where RR' are various gps. pref. H, alkyl XX' are H, opt. substd. hydrocarbon. Y is anion pref. -SO3, or -COO- and attached to X. Z is a cation pref. -N+R9R10R11 where R9-11 are H, opt. substd. alkyl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl or form part of a heterocycle with the N atom, n = 1-3 pref. 1. Cpds. are prepd. by reacting the two components salts. Used for duplicating papers giving copies with high light resistance.</p> |
