1322508 Sliding window lifting device H L GOLDE GmbH 22 June 1970 [20 June 1969] 30160/70 Heading E2M [Also in Division F2] A window lifting device for, e.g. a vehicle, comprises a tube 10 passing through a housing 1, 2, a pinion 5 rotatably mounted in the housing and drivably engaging through a cutout portion of the tube a rack-like threaded cable 9 in the tube, the tube being axially located in the housing by sleeve abutments 11 and 12 on the tube on either side of the housing; the tube 10 and sleeves 11, 12 being of a synthetic plastics material. A lug 8, attached to an end of the cable, is slidable in a slotted metallic tube 6 and engages a support plate 17 which operates a window 14, the tube 6 being joined to the tube 10 by a synthetic plastics material sleeve 13; the sleeve having flanges 28, 29 to attach it to a support plate 19 of the tube 6 and a rib like projection engaging a slot in the plate 19. The tube 10 may have axial fluting and transverse slots (20 and 21) Figs. 6 and 7 (not shown) to prevent the sleeves twisting. The sleeves 11, 12 may be injection or extrusion mouldings of copolymerised polyacetal and may have projections engaging recesses in the housing to prevent them twisting. An additional plastics tube 52, e.g. of PVC, may be provided and the guide bar 19 may be dispensed with if the lugs 28, 29 are secured to a mounting plate 19' (Fig. 2 not shown) to which the metal tube 6 is rigidly attached. The window lifting device may include a spiral spring weight compensator as in Specification 1322507. |
