摘要 1322548 Inhibiting corrosion ESSO RESEARCH & ENG CO 21 Oct 1970 [12 Nov 1969] 50004/70 Heading C7E A corrosion-inhibiting composition comprises (a) at least two acetylenic alcohols (b) a quaternary derivative of a substituted or unsubstituted quinoline, pyridine, pyrimidine, imidazole, or carbazole compound and (c) a compound where n = 3-10, X = Br or I, and Y = C 3 -C 10 glycol or ethoxylated alcohol with 1-10 moles ethylene or propylene oxide. The acetylenic alcohols may be where R 1 = H 1 or CH 3 and R 2 = H or C 1 -C 18 alkyl, monocyclic aryl, naphthyl, phenyl, or C 1 -C 10 substituted phenyl, e.g. methyl butynol, methyl pentynol, hexynol, ethyl octynol, propargyl alcohol, benzylbutynol, or naphthyl butynol. The quaternary compound may be an alkyl pyridine - methyl chloride quaternary, alkyl pyridine - benzyl chloride quaternary, quinoline-benzyl chloride quaternary, isoquinoline-benzyl chloride quaternary, thioalkylpyridine quaternary, or a thioquinoline, benzoquinoline, thiobenzoquinoline, imidazole, pyrimidine, or carbazole quaternary. The preferred fluoride compound is one where n = 8, Y = CH 2 CH 2 OCH 2 CH 2 OH and X = I. The composition may contain a terpene alcohol, e.g. pine oil,α, #, orγ-terpineol or borneol, an aliphatic alcohol such as i-PrOH or a C 1 - C 8 or higher liquid alcohol, and/or a dispersing agent such as ethoxylated oleate, tall oil, or a fatty acid. Typical wt % amounts are: total acetylenic alcohol 20-35; quaternary 30-50; organic fluoride 0À05-1; terpene alcohol 15-35; aliphatic alcohol 2-6; and dispersing agent 0À25-1. The composition is added to acids such as H 2 SO 4 , HNO 3 , HCI, H 2 CO 3 , acetic, or other organic acids in contact with a metal such as steel to inhibit corrosion thereof.
