<p>Control of the degree of wetting of granular material, partic. moulding sands, in which a liq. binder is automatically added to the material, by (a) completely immersing >=1 resistance body, movable against the variable force of a spring and operating the valve of a control device, in the granular material, (b) uniformly reciprocating the resistance body more or less, relative to the bulk granular material, in dependence on the state of this at the valve, the motion in one direction resulting in the closure and in the other direction the opening of a feed pipe for the liquid binder, and the addition of this in metered amts. to the granular material.</p> |
