Margarine is prepd. by (a) mixing >=1 vegetable or animal oil, opt. in a refined state, with a powder pref. of org. origin, such as various types of flour or biscuit powder, and (b) adding the necessary flavouring and aroma agents, and bacteriostats. Process provides a margarine with desired spreading characteristics.
