In the photo-mechanical designing of templates for film- and screen printing and esp. for rotary film printing by exposing in known manner a light-sensitive layer in correspondence with the print design and removing the unexposed parts, the light-sensitive layer is applied directly on the sieve template as a smooth surface of constant but adjustable thickness.
