<p>Appts. for thr granulation of plastic materials consists of an extrusion head with extrusion orifices, a cutting tool with knives rotating around the axis of the extrusion head, and placed in front of the extrusion head, a granule-receiving chamber with a discharge opening and a device for distributing a cooling liquid in the chamber. The latter device has a cooling liquid supply channel tangentially connected to an annular channel discharging into the internal periphery of the chamber by an annular slot. Provides a uniform layer of cooling liquid around the internal wall of the granule-receiving chamber, thus giving efficient cooling of the granules. Agglomeration of the granules is prevented.</p> |
