<p>An electric filter type coffee maker for domestic use which has a removable leakproof of cover over the water heating channels in the base to allow easy removal of scale deposits. The jug sits on a base in which are cast the heating elements (20) and a ring shaped water channel (22). Cold water passes from a container, through the water channel for heating, up to the infuser. The cover (28) sealing the channel is made from a heat proof silicone elastomer material which grips tightly but can be removed by pulling on a tab. After cleaning out the deposits, the cover can be replaced.</p> |
