<p>Shaft sealing ring with an inner lip which engages on the shaft, has strips on the air side, which are so inclined that the dynamic sealing is ensured through the feedback of the fluid which finds its way to the lip, whilst on its end an active lip part has a static seal forming circular edge. The air side surface has an angle alteration at the end of the strips, which is nearest to the middle of the ring, and which corresponds to a cone with an angle at its peak which is greater than that of the strips, and forms an active lip edge. This in turn leads to the static sealing circular edge, which angle alteration extends over the full height and depth of the strips, whereby the lip is pressed against the shaft by its elastic tension alone. The outer ring-shaped part of the seal is of rubber with inner metallic supports.</p> |
