An organic phosphate or phosphite (I) contg. halogen is used as stabiliser for light-sensitive material contg. a diazo cpd. (II) and an organic high-mol. matrix (III). Pref. (I) has formula O=P(OR)3 or P(OR)3 (in which the R gps. independently are haloalkyl, haloaryl, haloalkoxyalkyl, haloalkylenoxyalkyl or alkyl-P(:O)-O-haloalkyl gps., pref. 2-5c haloalkyl or -CH2CH2-PO-(OCH2CH2CH2Cl)2 gps.; the halogen or Cl or Br) and is used in an amt. of 0.5-40, esp. 5-15 wt.% w. r. t. (II) and (III). In the prodn. of printing plates. The material has improved storage stability and adhesion to a substrate.
