This guide assembly is bolted as an attachment on the trailer and the guide assembly can be replaced readily. the guide member is T shaped and the wedge element slides along the shank of the guide. The transverse member of the guide is connected as a support for the spring system between the wedge unit and the guide element. The T-shaped guide element (2) has a shank (23) on which slides the wedge assembly with guiding wedge faces (12, 13). The wider end of the wedge assembly has a connector plate (3) with openings for plungers (11) on which are placed disc springs (7), one end of which acts on the guide element transverse member and the other end acts on the wedge assembly. The springs lend flexibility to the system and the whole unit can be readily replaced should it be damaged.
