Variable resistance control

An electrical component of the variable resistance type having a base of electrically nonconductive material provided with an opening. A resistance element is disposed on one side of the base, and an apertured collector in registry with the opening is circumposed by the resistance element. A center terminal connected to the collector is provided with a recessed portion which is disposed in a cut out portion in the base. Such arrangement provides an uninterrupted track on the base for a driver constrained to rotate with a contactor engaging the resistance element and the collector.
