The incident light comes from the examined object. At first six black-and-white photographs are taken of the same object through a filter for the spectral range of interest, a polarisation filter and a phase or a lambda/4 plate. The polarisation filter and the lambda/4 plate are placed before the camera objective. Their order and angles for the six photographs are specified. Three of the primary negatives, or their positive transparencies are illuminated with different colour light, to which a colour sensitive photographic material is exposed, so that two colour photographs are produced.
