The unof for desks with adjoining similar desks or furniture units is of an L- or C-shape section so that it can be fastened with one arm against the table top. The unit can be made of wood, metal or plastics and fastened by any suitable means so that when between adjoining desks it acts as a screen and the C-shaped unit provides an additional shelf. The length of the arms and web can be as required but it is preferably if the longer arm of the L section and the web of the C-section are at right angles to the desk top, the web being longer than the two arms. The transition from the table top to the vertical section is preferably rounded or curved for a smarter appearance.
